Lone Star Kabbala
Welcome to Lone Star Kabbalah! When considering the writings of Judaism, one might think of them as a body of work supported by three pillars - Torah, Talmud, and Kabbalah. To give a simplistic description of the distinction between the three, we might say that Torah tells us WHAT to do, Talmud tells us HOW to do it, and Kabbalah explains WHY we do it. For example, if Torah tells us not to jump off a cliff, then the Talmud explains what constitutes a cliff and how far should one stay away from the edge. Meanwhile, Kabbalah gives a complete description of the theory of gravity and the force with which one would hit the ground so that we could understand why not to jump off that cliff.
